the pretty old haunted castle

I've delayed this post for too long now. hehe. now i have a purpose to blog again :)

these are the pictures i managed to take during my visit to Carey Island a few months back. i don't remember when that was though, but i do remember that it was an awesome trip! well, not exactly a trip, my mum went for some course thingamajig there. so, my father brought us along to pick her up after she finished.

while we were there, my mum suggested that we visit a few interesting places there. one of them is the Hatter's Castle. "how come there's a castle in the middle of the palm oil plantation?!" i thought. but it turns out to be that the castle belongs to the founder of the island. i don't know how true is that because wiki clearly stated that some guy named Valentine Carey found the island. who cares.

anyways, the castle didn't look like the typical stereotype castle. it was more like an old-fashioned bungalow house with a huge ass yard and a creepy atmosphere. but its was so beautiful i almost cried :') now, let the pictures do the talking, shall we?

huge ass garden view taken from the upstairs balcony.

spot the owl.

creepy tree and the garage.

cute eh? :D

creepy tree no. 2. there's three of them all together.

wardrobe, a walk in type. one of them even have a secret passage to allow the owner to escape in case there's an emergency. useful during the Japanese occupation.

the driveway taken from the living room.

before we ended the castle tour, we asked the caretaker whether there have been any 'funny' things happened before at the castle. at first he refused to tell us but the he gave up. he said, there's this one time when he was doing his routine rounding to check whether all the switches have been switched off. he walked into the living room absent-mindedly and said "assalamualaikum" out of habit, and suddenly, somebody answered "waalaikumussalam" out of nowhere.

when we asked what kind of ghost he normally encounters, he said a ghost dressed in colonial era outfit have been seen around the castle, with a rifle in his hand.

how can a Caucasian ghost greets "waalaikumussalam"?

that's the mystery.

MY HOLIDAY VACATION

i went for a 4 days 3 night vacation. where to? mama miah's house! while i was there, i learnt to cook many things. such as nasi bryani, pineapple tarts, kerabu mangga, orange cake, bla bla bla.

i found the orange cake recipe here. since my grand uncle is sick n he lovesssss orange cake so much, i made him one. the cake was AMAZING. melts in your mouth, even secret recipe cakes cant beat my orange cake. haha, ofcoz i puji lebih la, made it myself maaa.

but some of the people who tasted my orange cake said that the cake was too fancy for their taste. i take that as a compliment anyway. fancy means good to me. :)

some said it tasted like castella, a Japanese version of kuih bahulu. i think so too, coz i've tasted them before, the green tea flavour tasted weird though. cehhh, pasni boleh la jual recipe aku kat castella kan?

. . . . . . . . . . .
one week of holiday is really not enough.
and i just realise that i hate looking at couples walking together, holding hands.
there's a voice in my head screaming and begging me to get a life.
whyyyyyyyyyy?
haha, pathetic.

betul betul betul

summit rocks. jyeah. hang out with by best man there yesterday. planned to catch a movie but i'm too lazy to queue up. the line was longgg! we ended up just meronggeng around summit eating ice cream n that yummy pulut mangga n talked about stuffs. finally, i got my belated birthday present as promised.

later that evening, my family n us went for dinner. i think that ah pek at the restaurant was interested in saiful. he kept on calling him 'handsome boy' if i'm not mistaken. woahh, i feel so intimidated! edward cullen kan weh? pffft. bullsh*t. gahahaha.

guess what movie we watched that night after dinner? geng upin dan ipin! woohoo. the movie was quite interesting n funny. at first i refused to watch it but i had to since my sister wanted to watch it badly. so sad, i watched it ALONE, coz somebody wanted to go home early and didnt want to accompany me. i didnt manage to get a seat at the same row with my family. so there i was, sitting next to another loner who happens to buy the single seat next to me. the fact that there were no chinese or indians watching that movie is really disturbing.

all the people in the cinema that night were Malay. mostly came with their family. the way they behave in the cinema makes me wonder "is this their first trip to the movies?". seriously, the kids were acting like jakuns n they selamba go n shout n talk n play along the stairs DURING THE SHOW. note to self written parenting 101: do's n don'ts book, teach own children how to behave in cinemas.

the mothers lagi la kan. siap duduk dekat tangga lepastu gelak kuat2 macam cinema tu suami dia punya. lepastu kalau boleh segala makanan dekat popcorn bar tu dia nak angkut buat bekal. apa kata len kali bawak tikar dan nasi lemak sambal tumis dari rumah skali, kan senang.

ni nak cakap psl guitar pulak. my guitar, which i proudly name it ARION, turns out to be sucha loser. i suddenly had the urge to play it last week. when i opened the bag, i saw the strings were all rusty. tak berkualiti punya guitar dari MUSIC WALK. hmphh. i want to change the strings. but then realize its pointless if i dont play it. nanti lama2 berkarat lagi, menyusahkan je.

akhir kata, kita mestilah cari suami yang KUAT!!!
been thinking bout this alot since that someone installed it in my head.
-.-"

we.love.mr.nosey<3

saya pergi ke kopitiam lagi pada hari ini. :) lepas habis kelas tuition biology, kami bertiga menuju ke kopitiam meredah hujan anjing dan kucing
[raining cats and dogs, ya kelakar. hohoho.]
dan teka siapa kami jumpa?
teka lah.
siapa?
elelelehh, saya tahu kamu tahu.
ya, betul rakanrakan.
MR. NOSEY.
huhu. nak pergi membuang air kecil.
selamat tinggal pembaca blog sekalian.
over n out ^^

oldtown kopitiam

went to oldtown again today. with the same budak gila yg rase saham die dh naik tu. i love hanging out at that place coz its very cozy n windy n customer friendly. i seldom eat the heavy food offered there though, i doubt the halal status of the ingredients. so mainly i just drink lemon coke n eat the yummy kaya toast or the blueberry ice cream since they're just simple food.

okay back to the main story. i can consider myself as a regular customer. so i can almost recognise all of the waiters n waitress working there. there's this male waiter i've been eyeing him for awhile now. his face seems familiar to me, quite handsome for a foreigner. Burmese or Filipino or Vietnamese, u know, those kind of unique Asian look. whenever i go there, he'll sure be the one who serves me. maybe its a coincidence, maybe he just happens to be serving the customers outside [usually i'll be sitting in the open air section]. whichever theory lah kan.

the most annoying thing happened today. this very waiter, as usual serves my table without fail. took our orders, brought me my lemon coke n budakgila's toast n milk tea. even before i read the damn menu, he stood there beside me, readily, full-spirited, waiting for me to write my orders. at first i thought, "okaylah, die ni busy kot. sbb tu die nak amek order aku cepat2." being an understanding person i am, i dun really mind at all his presence there.

me n budakgila ate n chitchatted happily n joked our private jokes. suddenly, this male waiter, i shall name him MR. NOSEY, appeared out of the blue n decided to stand by our table n pretend to look somewhere else. CLOSE ENOUGH THERE'S NOT EVEN A GAP BETWEEN HIM N THE TABLE. yeah, that close people. can u imagine how the heck i felt that very moment? my patience was challenged then, but i just kept my cursings to myself. didn't want to start a scene there.

i thought that was it when he just walk away from our table after a few [very long] minutes. but noooooooooo. Mr. nosey there didn't plan to invade our privacy just once. few moments past n there he was, standing right next to me again, close enough i'm sure he can easily listen to our private conversation. goddamn, i swearrrr it felt very awkward. what was he trying to do? pretend that he's james bond n try to gain as much informations from us as he can? he should count his blessing. coz in the future if he tries to be nosey again, i might just hav a bitch fit n only god knows what'll happen to him then.

so next time if u go to the oldtown kopitiam in taipan, beware of mr. nosey here. he might be up to no good. hahahaaa, or worst, he might be working for the bad guys. who knows. i'll put up his picture if i manage to capture one for all you beloved blogreaders to see. overall, i think most of the waiter n waitresses there really isnt qualified to work there, they seriously need to learn how to speak bm n english. sepatah haram pun xtau susah la nak communicate kan?

watched the curious case of benjamin button at farhana's.
oh boy, what a sadsad story.
iloveallofyoublogreaders!cheers!
